In our third video, we will be covering new enhancements added to SAP BusinessObjects Information Design Tool.
What is Information Design Tool?
Information Design Tool is a tool tailored for data modelers that gives them the means to create data models derived and combined from multiple data sources quickly and with little experience needed. It is a versatile component which enables users to create universes that are tailored to the needs of business users. Thanks to its simplified User Interface design and enhanced features, it does not have a high learning curve in comparison to other tools in the market. The ability to combine tables from multiple different sources provides users with new possibilities when analyzing their data.
The new features added in 4.2 SP6 are mainly for ease of use and to enhance the overall User Experience. The ability to refresh changes faster(Refresh Strucutre only one selected tables instead of whole data model), more control over the structure of the data model (Align selected Tables, as well as Set Width to Max/Min), more data sources (Insert Stored Procedure option) and faster repetition of work (Duplicate Data Foundation Views or Business Layer Objects).
